Crucifixion, Atonement & Resurrection
The Last Supper, Golgotha, the Empty Tomb, and the High Priestly Fulfillment in Hebrews
During Passover in Jerusalem , Yeshua instituted the New Covenant at the Last Supper, suffered crucifixion at Golgotha , and rose bodily on the third day—interpreted across the New Testament and Hebrews as the ultimate fulfillment of the Tabernacle and Day of Atonement.
Passover in Jerusalem, Gethsemane, and Golgotha
Entering Jerusalem on a donkey in fulfillment of Zechariah 9:9 ( Matthew 21:5 ), Yeshua celebrated the Passover with his disciples, prayed in Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives , and was crucified at Golgotha ( Matthew 27:33 , John 19:17 ).
The Empty Tomb & Heavenly Sanctuary in Hebrews
On the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the women found the tomb empty as the risen Messiah appeared to his disciples in Jerusalem and Galilee ( Matthew 28:6 , Luke 24:1 , Acts 1:3 ). The Epistle to the Hebrews expounds Christ as High Priest after the order of Melchizedek who entered the true heavenly sanctuary beyond the veil ( Hebrews 8:5 , Hebrews 9:4 , Hebrews 9:11 ).
